good morning!

Good morning everyone!  Another beautiful day and yet another chance to eat healthier and become more comfortable with our bodies!  Lets make the best of it!

 I know I have not written in a few days, life has been getting crazy here!  My work hours vary every day so I am never home at the same time, and I spend my mornings working out, so that does not leave me with much free time.  The  past few days have been going good. I am eating smaller portions still. I work out in the mornings, and I dont look at my body in such a negative way anymore!  My scale is one of the really nice ones that tells you your pound, to the decimal!  So every time I weigh myself, it is motivating to see that the decimals are moving, even if it takes a while for each pound.

well, I am off to do some crunches before I get ready for work. Have a great day everyone!

day 5

so today went great! i ate healthy and i finally went and bought a scale!  so i know i weighed 205 when i lived at home 3 weeks ago. i weighed myself tonight AFTER dinner and i still only weight 199.6!   i am so excited!  i will not write much this weekend however, as i am going to go visit my parents.  have a great weekend everyone!!!

Day 4

Oh what a day. It started off great!  I had some special k and then some fresh fruit.  For lunch we had olive garden delivered. I made sure I had lots of salad and just a small portion of lasagna. Then I get home from work and we are having pizza for dinner, which is fine. I am only have one slice so I am not too worried.  Then it seems that more plans for the wedding fell through and I am so frustrated and so sick of people making MY wedding all about THEM!! seriously?  Haven’t they been in the spotlight enough for the past 30 years?!?!  ahhhh!!!  well I am off to read and hopefully calm down a little. If not, I am definitely going to work out!  I might as well use this anger towards something good! :)

Day 3

Today was yet another successful day. I woke up early to work out. I feel that this is becoming a habit!  :)  I ate special k red berries for breakfast.  For lunch I had a tunafish sandwich with some wheat thins.  And for dinner I had some rice with broccoli and tofu with no extra sauces (not to mention the fact that I ate less than half of what I put on my plate…… Gotta love portion controls)!  All in all it was a great day.  I am starting to feel better about myself and I feel a little healthier already. I can’t wait to see the end results if I can keep up this progress. :)  Tomorrow is going to be challenging since we get Olive Garden for free from the company :(  I would have to say that Olive Garden is my favorite restaurant and this will be tough to avoid the breadsticks and limit myself.  Wish me luck!!

I Did It!!!

I know this is not anything of extreme significance, but I am so proud of myself.  I went to the kitchen cupboard to grab something for dinner, and the first thing that caught my eye was Mac & Cheese.  But I told myself that the 900 calories in that box would not help me feel any healthier, and would not make me any more comfortable in a bathing suit on my honeymoon. So instead…. I chose rice!  If you guys knew me, you would understand how eating something healthy  ( i know, i know, rice isnt super healthy) is not something I would normally choose over something as good as Mac & Cheese. I just wanted to let everyone know how I am so excited that I made a ‘healthy decision’. I would not be able to do this without the support of everyone!  Thank you!

Day 2

Well I survived Day 1, so I am hoping that things will continue to get easier as I fall into a routine.  Today went well. I woke up early and did a half hour workout on my elliptical, as well as 100 crunches.  I usually do a night time workout as well, although I feel that by throwing myself into working out twice a day for the past week I have become extremely sore.  I might just take a night off and work out an extra ten minutes tomorrow morning.  I had wheat toast for breakfast, a yogurt for snack and a soup for lunch.  For dinner I had a very small bowl of Special K although I am still feeling hungry.  I ate the cereal about a half hour ago, so I honestly know that I am hungry and I am debating what else to have. I better decide quick since I am trying to not eat after 7:30 p.m. 

 I love the support that this site brings!  Honestly, I was a little skeptical about signing up at first, but then I figured that nothing else has been working so maybe this was just what I needed.  And it was!  I was excited about coming home from work and seeing what types of supportive comments I had waiting for me.  I feel that everyone here is in the same boat, and that is even more encouragement.  Each pound lost is one step closer to feeling exactly how you want to and have dreamed of feeling. I just hope that everyone can stay motivated and make this the best weight loss yet!  Good luck everyone. Keep up the good work!

day 1

Well day 1 was successful!  I worked out twice and did not eat such heavy meals. I also focused on smaller portions and eating slower, which really helped!  I only hope that I can keep being so strong and see results before the wedding!
